VISITING RULES

You are encouraged to read our price list, booking and sale regulations, and visiting regulations before you buy your tickets.

What exactly can you visit in the Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejówek and how can you do it?

Within the 4 hectares of the complex museum’s area there are a couple of buildings out of which the following ones are open for visitors: the Museum’s main building with its permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions, Milusin mansion with its historical garden, Lilac Villa – place where local communities meet and where temporary exhibitions are organized.

Permanent exhibition „For the Republic of Poland. Józef Piłsudski 1867 – 1935”
This exhibition is at the root of our perception of the Marshal’s life and ideas. The permanent exhibition is housed by two storeys (-3 and -2) of our modern main building and includes 6 galleries encompassing the area of 2100 m2.
It takes about 2 hours to visit the exhibition, but the exhibits and contents leave room for a much longer visit. The last visitors on a given day can enter the permanent exhibition 90 minutes before the closing hour. While planning your visit in our Museum, you are requested to take into account the time needed to visit the exhibition. A visitor who does not manage to visit the entire exhibition cannot make a complaint or claim reimbursement of their ticket’s cost.

Milusion mansion and its historical garden

The Milusin mansion, that is the family house of Józef and Aleksandra Piłsudski, was built in 1923. Having resigned from the public office, the Marshal moved here with his wife and daughters. The mansion is surrounded with a historical garden with a vegetable garden, orchard and bee yard looking like back in the Marshal’s times.

The Milusin mansion and its historical garden are a precious cultural heritage monument which should be taken care of by everybody, including our visitors. Therefore, you can enter the mansion and the garden only accompanied by a certified guide within determined hours. Your visit inside of the mansion is supposed to take about 30 minutes, while a walk in the garden – from 10 to 60 minutes depending on the type of visiting, season of the year and weather conditions.

Visiting rules

  • The entrance to the main building is for free and does not require any tickets. To visit the permanent exhibition and Milusin mansion with its historical garden you have to buy a ticket.
  • If you buy a ticket for more than one visit or event offered by the Museum to be held on the same day, you are requested to consider the start hours and duration of your visit/event so as to avoid any collision of dates and times. If you plan your visit in a way favoring a collision of dates or hours, you will not be entitled to make a complaint or seek reimbursement of your ticket’s cost.
  • Individual visiting means visiting alone or in a group of up to 9 people.
  • Collective visiting means visiting in a group of more than 10 people.

People in wheelchairs can move only around the part of the exhibition located in the lobby and living room and take a look at the studio and dining room while staying in the living room.
  • In the Milusin mansion and in the historical garden there are no places to sit down and take a rest.
  • Should weather conditions be bad or pose a threat to visitors and/or exhibition in the mansion the Museum reserves the right to cancel tours and close the Milusin mansion and its historical garden to visitors.
